Re: Hymn-Caroling Report

Yes, I think both the singers and the "listeners" found it very meaningful.  What a super idea!  And thanks for
your gracious hospitality, Allan and Linda!

Blessings,
Margaret

We had a nice time caroling yesterday with a dozen of us in the group (there would have been 13 except that Cathy Gillaspy's car misbehaved just as she drove into the church parking lot and she had to bow out).  The group included Julie James, Marjorie and Todd Williams, Don and Margaret Irwin, Stephanie Frost, Donna and Mac Barlass, Noel White, and Daryl Timmer (who very graciously joined us to help round out the tenor section).  Our repertory included six different hymns (from "Trust in the Lord" to "I'm Gonna Live so God Can Use Me"), and we sang for Merle Strohbehn and family members over in Hudson, for Elva Keller and Anita Stepan at the Good Samaritan Rest Home, and for Diane Thompson at her house (tracking in a fair amount of snow, but we sounded really good, so it was okay).  Afterwards we repaired to the Kellars for refreshments.

It was a nice afternoon.  Thanks to all those who were able to take part.  We'll plan to go hymn-caroling again -- with more advance notice next time!

Hymn-Caroling Report

We had a nice time caroling yesterday with a dozen of us in the group
(there would have been 13 except that Cathy Gillaspy's car misbehaved
just as she drove into the church parking lot and she had to bow out).
The group included Julie James, Marjorie and Todd Williams, Don and
Margaret Irwin, Stephanie Frost, Donna and Mac Barlass, Noel White, and
Daryl Timmer (who very graciously joined us to help round out the tenor
section). Our repertory included six different hymns (from "Trust in
the Lord" to "I'm Gonna Live so God Can Use Me"), and we sang for Merle
Strohbehn and family members over in Hudson, for Elva Keller and Anita
Stepan at the Good Samaritan Rest Home, and for Diane Thompson at her
house (tracking in a fair amount of snow, but we sounded really good, so
it was okay). Afterwards we repaired to the Kellars for refreshments.

It was a nice afternoon. Thanks to all those who were able to take
part. We'll plan to go hymn-caroling again -- with more advance notice

Hymn Caroling

Dear Choir Members:

Just a reminder of the plan to go hymn caroling next Sunday afternoon,
February 27th, for all who are available to do so. The plan is to
depart from the church at 2:00 and to come to our house afterwards for
refreshments. There will be a sign-up sheet at choir rehearsal
Wednesday night. Hope you will be able to join us.

See you Wednesday, and thanks.

Choir Website

Dear Choir Members:

Our web site is ready for visitors. Give it a look!! It is designed to
keep you up to date on music we will be singing, dates we will and will
not sing, as well as listing practice and Sunday start times. In
addition, we will list upcoming musical events of particular interest to
us all. Though I often mention these events on Wednesday evening, the
web site will provide additional information including directions to get
to the venue. We will be happy to list additional events that you care
about. Just email that information to Bill White for posting on the
schedule.

I will continue to send out periodic emails when new information
requires it so the website won't be the only source of information.

Here is the link to the web site.

Since the website URL is not easy to remember, please bookmark this link

Your suggestions or comments to Bill White (whitewm@yahoo.com) or myself
are always appreciated.

Fwd: FW: funny snow pic

A little weather related levity.  NOT from my brother-in-law, incidentally, although it might well be, since they are in Texas for the winter!  And they're certainly having it there.

Sunday morning

Hello Everybody:

Just a reminder that we need to start our Sunday morning rehearsal
promptly at 8:45 -- or even a bit earlier would be great. Remember, we
have 3 (THREE!) pieces to rehearse with the trumpeter. See you then.
