Summer Schedule

Dear Choir:

On our last Sunday together, May 11th -- Choir Appreciation Sunday, singing the Fauré Requiem -- I mentioned that we might also sing on Memorial Day Sunday, which would be this coming Sunday, May 25th.

It now appears that this will not work out, so we will not be singing this Sunday.

There are two other summer dates, however, for which I hope your schedules will allow you to come and sing:
 
       June 29th -- Women and Girls Choir -- both regular choir members and anyone else who would like to sing

        August 10th -- Men and Boys Choir -- both regular choir members and anyone else who would like to sing

We would meet at 8:30 on these mornings for rehearsal.  Please mark the dates on your calendars.

And, speaking of the Fauré, what a wonderfully uplifting way to mark the end of our choir year.  It was especially meaningful, I thought, to be able to sing the Requiem twice, not only because of all the rehearsing we did, but perhaps moreso because of the beautiful spiritual and musical message it carries.  Thanks to everybody for making the past months a rewarding year of music and worship.

Thanks, and a reminder

Dear Choir:

Wednesday night's rehearsal was certainly productive and uplifting --
and I am very much looking forward to Sunday's worship service and to
hearing the Requiem again.

Just a reminder that we will meet in the choir loft at 8:15 Sunday
morning. We have several things to rehearse besides the Fauré, so it
will be great if everybody is ready to go at 8:15.
