Dear Choir:
The news of the death of John Sinclair's wife, Maxine, had not reached
me by rehearsal time Wednesday night, and I regret that no mention was
made of it. By now you have probably heard the news of her passing. We
all will want to keep John in our prayers even as we rejoice for their
long and happy marriage and give thanks for her long and meaningful life.

Mobs of Fobs and Yards of Cards
Dear Choir:
I made a mistake the other night (I knew it would happen one of these
days): both the cards and the fobs (love that word) will work for
entrance to the church on Wednesday nights. So if you have either an
entry card or an entry fob (!) you are good to go. If you don't yet
have one or the other, please stop in at the office and check one out.
Sorry about the confusion.
Also a quick reminder: we meet for rehearsal Sunday morning at 8:45.
Please come directly to the choir loft so we can start promptly at
8:45. As in previous years, there will be time to put on robes after
the rehearsal ends. Also, a reminder that just before the service
begins, for this one Sunday we will line up in the hallway and enter the
choir loft together (as we did in the old days) -- in recognition of its
being Welcome Sunday and the start of a new worship year.
Thanks for the great rehearsal Wednesday night. We may need to touch up
a few places in the anthem on Sunday morning, but so what else is new?
It was amazing how much we accomplished on it and the introit at a first
rehearsal. Thanks again for your talent and commitment.
See you Sunday.

Choir Rehearsals!
Dear Choir:
We will resume choir rehearsals this coming Wednesday night, September
9th, at the usual time of 7:30. I think we have some very nice music
planned for the fall and into the Christmas season, and I look forward
to seeing you.
Sincerely,
Allan
