Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday and this is a reminder that we will be meeting
at 6:30 tomorrow evening to rehearse the music for the 7:00 service.
Please try to be in the choir loft at 6:30 so we will have enough time
to rehearse, then to get robes on before the start of the service.

The anthem!
Dear Choir:
"Go and Tell John" was great at this morning's service! Not only did it
swing along rhythmically, but even the variations in the dynamics came
through swimmingly.

I know that Mac Barlass asked for no gifts, but I plan to make a donation to church designated for the organ fund in Donna's honor. Maybe others also will want to consider joining in this. Dave

Donna Barlass is celebrating her 80th birthday this week. And, although Mac has organized a celebration for her this coming Sunday, we would like to surprise her with a little party this Wednesday evening after choir practice. (Incidentally, Donna is not in on this particular email.)
Jane Boss is organizing the treats for this occasion, and she has also suggested that each of us bring a birthday card for Donna.
The emphasis here is on the word Surprise! Don't mention this to Donna, so it will be truly a surprise to her at the end of rehearsal when we announce the reception and give her the birthday cards (please hold them until then).
It will be fun. See you then.
