Subject: Sheena Tomney's funeral

 

Dear Choir:

You will recall hearing the news that Sheena had passed away last week. 
She had mentioned to Cader that it would be nice to have the choir sing
at her funeral if it would work out, and I am writing to ask if there
would be enough of us available for the funeral, which is on Saturday
afternoon, June 2nd, at 2:00 p.m. That weekend is, of course, the men's
retreat, and if you are planning to attend that, don't change your
plans; I realize other choir members may be out-of-town or otherwise
unavailable, also.  However, we can sing a very nice anthem, even with a
limited number of singers.

So -- would you please send me an email as soon as possible indicating
your availability for the funeral.  If it works out, we would simply get
together to rehearse that afternoon probably at 1:15 p.m., or so.

Please let me know as soon as you can, and I will get back to you with
whether or not we will have enough singers to go ahead with this plan.
