Dear Choir:
Everyone really came through on last night's anthem, and with the
addition of the cello (and of course, Linda Orsted and her debut as the
windchimer), it was especially beautiful. Also adding to the beauty was
the good work of the readers. The annual Good Friday service is always
one I look forward to -- moving and meaningful. I'm sorry more members
of the congregation don't participate in this quiet, thoughtful, and
meditative culmination of the days leading up to Easter.
Speaking of Easter -- as you will recall, the plan is to rehearse
tomorrow morning at 8:30. So, if you decide to eat breakfast at the
church, you will want to get there a bit before 8:00 a.m. to be among
the first to be served.
There will be plenty of time to put on robes after the rehearsal and
before the service starts. We have quite a few things to rehearse, so
it's more important to be in the choir loft at 8:30.
See you then! Thanks for your singing (and for your flexibility!).
Sincerely,
Allan
