Wednesday-night schedule--different!

Dear Choir:

Don't forget about the different schedule for tomorrow night's Ash Wednesday service. 

Remember that the evening is planned as a complete Ash Wednesday observance, beginning with supper with Kids Connection at 5:30.  Following explanation and discussion, especially for the young people, perhaps -- but also as reminders for all of us -- of the significance and meaning of the Ash Wednesday service of ashes, we will all move into the sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. for the short worship service.  Choir members will go into the choir loft at this time (traditional seating: sopranos and altos on the right side of the loft, tenors and basses on the left side); no robes required, but please pick up your folder before supper, if possible.

The hope is that everyone will be able to come at 5:30, but if your schedule won't permit that, please come when you can.  The music cart will be in the usual place by the sanctuary doors.  We will be singing the Mozart "Ave verum," but there is no rehearsal prior to the service.  Following the service, we will have our usual rehearsal, ending at 8:30.

In summary:

    5:30 -- supper (pick up choir folder)
    7:00 -- move into sanctuary, choir members into the choir loft (no robes)
    Following the service -- choir rehearsal to 8:30 p.m.
