Fwd: Fwd: May E-News: Virtual Hymn Project, New video series, and more!

Dear Choir:

Laura has forwarded this information about a Virtual Hymn Project being developed by the National Lutheran Choir, in which you might want to participate.  It takes a little bit of doing to record yourself, but the separate choral parts are easy to print out and are not at all difficult to sing.  There is even a video with a singer singing your part with whom you can sing while recording yourself.  The instructions are clear (you may want to just read through them a couple of times to be sure) and the directions on the instruction-video are easy to follow.

One important point worth reiterating:  your video must be submitted by Friday of this week -- May 15th.

So, take a look; it will be fun to sing -- and to hear.

Hi, Allan and Cader,

I wanted you to be aware of this hymn project being carried out by the National Lutheran Choir and the Assoc. of Lutheran Church Musicians. You don't have to be Lutheran or an ALCM member to participate. Allan, I wonder if we should share it with the choir members in case they want to participate. It's ambitious but quite possible to participate if individuals have the desire and equipment to sing in the virtual choir. I think Tim and I will go for it and see if it works.

Have a good weekend.

Laura
